Luckily for us avid travellers, Beijing is relatively inexpensive when it comes to accommodation and living costs. We’ve put together a list of our top 5 places to stay in Beijing that you don’t want to miss out on, ranging from budget to luxury.
A unique, cosy place designed by Americans. They’ve thought of every little detail to make your stay comfortable and to help you feel at home – including a cat! Facilities include; 2 upper and lower berths in the room, a sofa bed, air conditioning, a communal toilet, hot drinking water, a communal kitchen, and WiFi. Hosts are lovely and speak both Chinese and English.
Fancy a bit of luxury without the price tag? This large, borderline kitschy apartment is kitted out with everything you need, and more! Here you’ll have access to flat screen TV, Nintendo Wii, home theatre, free fast WiFi, foot massage/therapy tub, electric piano, and swing! But best of all? Hosts either often make it or break it for Airbnbs. Luckily here, they are incredibly friendly and will go above and beyond to make your stay the best. With a spot on location and great price, what more can you ask for?
Want a home-stay experience with your own privacy too? Here you’ll stay in your own space and have your own large room, with the owners and Chinese family Tong staying upstairs. Even if you like your privacy, this lovely family will definitely make your trip here worth while. They’re enthusiastic, friendly and caring. As well as facilities in the flat including TV and yoga mat, the complex also has a gym and pool you can use. This place is really 5* all round – great location, great hosts, great accommodation!
You can’t get any more central than this place, located just 700m from the nearest Subway. Come stay in traditional, local style accommodation with a twist of luxury. This hip building is very well designed and certainly an experience in itself. You’ll have your own private bathroom and shower, double bed, breakfast, tea & coffee, and air conditioning. It’s perfect for a honey moon or something else special.
This is the ultimate in luxury in Beijing. If you’re after unbeatable location, accommodation, hosts, and experience – this place is not to be missed. You’ll be situated on the 25th floor in a two-storey penthouse suite, in one of the rare rooftop balconies in Beijing. The balcony is perfect to enjoy those killer views of Beijing, and enjoy a drink of an evening watching the sun go down. It comes with the price tag, but you get your money’s worth.
